JOB DESCRIPTION:
Control Field Service Engineer.
The ideal candidate should be able to deal with most common PLCs platform, to execute step-by- step all the controller functions in accordance with their automation task and to commission the entire system, up to the start-up phase. The Control Field Service Engineer will be in charge of survey, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up, system loading, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair activities, etc., as well as of Operation and Maintenance Training courses, while serving Customer, copying with its needs and requirements and granting Customer expectation satisfaction. Other responsibilities will be completing daily service reports, fulfilling administrative duties and other Company requirements and being fully compliant with Site Safety policies and procedures.
PROFILE:
Education and Seniority: Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering or similar High school diploma with, minimum, 2/3 years of previous working experience in a Field Service role (Mandatory requirement).
Citizenship: Italian citizenship is preferable. Other citizenship will be considered, upon presentation of a valid Italian stay permit.
Additional requirements: (1) police clearance certificate; (2) being able to swim is a mandatory requirement for working offshore
Technical Competences:
- Required to be able to read schematic diagrams, P&I, I/O list, wirings, specification manuals, datasheet, layouts etc. to determine proper work procedures.
- Communication protocols knowledge.
- Working knowledge of computers, networking and database.
- Electrical fundamentals.
- Instrumentation knowledge and calibration.
- Extensive knowledge of GE, Siemens, Woodward, Rockwell, Hima and/or other controllers.
- Extensive knowledge of Scada, supervision system and HMI.
- Machinery/Rotating equipment knowledge and process, dealing with the above-mentioned controllers.
- Being able to carry out advanced troubleshooting activities.
- Fluent English both written and spoken (mandatory requirement).
ORGANIZATIONAL AND SOCIAL COMPETENCES:
- Available to work in foreign Countries with no geographical limitation at least for 7 months per year (being away from home for short or extended periods each shift/assignment).
- Being able to work under-pressure within stressing environments.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Time-management and goal oriented (e.g. in respecting deadlines).
- Strong Customer Service mindset.
- Able to transfer knowledge and train people.
- Acting as a team player and able to lead people when required.
- Being able to communicate in a proper and effective way respecting roles and hierarchy.
- Being able and accurate in writing technical reports, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense reports on a complete timely and thorough basis.
- Fully compliant with EHS and quality requirements and standards.
